We are excited to announce that Benjamin Arunda, M&P's Director of Public Policy for sub-Saharan Africa, recently concluded a highly successful trip to Ethiopia. During his visit, Benjamin provided support to our partners in engaging with influential figures in the digital economy and cybersecurity sectors.

Benjamin's itinerary was packed with meetings with key stakeholders, including H.E. Mrs. Huria Ali, State Minister to the National ICT and Digital Economy Sector at the FDRE Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MIT), and Mr. Solomon Soka, Director General of the Information Network Security Agency (INSA). He also held discussions with Solomon Damtew, Acting Director of Payment & Settlement Systems Directorate at National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE), and Faysel Yassin, Director of Corporate Banking & International Trade at Oromia International Bank (OIB), to explore opportunities for promoting digital transformation and cybersecurity in the finance sector.

Furthermore, Benjamin had the privilege of meeting with H.E. Mr. Ahmed Shide, the Minister of Finance (MoF), and General Brook Taye, Director of Ethiopian Capital Market Authority (ECMA). The discussions revolved around gaining a better understanding of the regulatory framework governing Ethiopia's capital markets and exploring potential opportunities for future collaboration and investment.

We are proud of Benjamin's contributions and the positive impact of his trip to Ethiopia. His efforts align with our company's commitment to fostering digital transformation and promoting cybersecurity in sub-Saharan Africa.
